Why Polling?
Polling helps to make educated judgements about public and private sector issues. Any activity which proposes to
proliferate the democratic process should be tried. At its core, democracy is intended to be a government "of the
people, by the people, and for the people." Yet today, "the people," have become extremely cynicle about government,
and consequently are participating in it at record low levels.
Citizens and their "leaders"are often uninformed about key public issues.
Jackie´s Polling goals
a.. To expand public participation and understanding in the decision making process.
b.. To expand both the public and government information networks of the country to become better informed to
public issues.
c.. To create a network that decision makers are able to use to better interpet the public's wishes therefore
enabling them to represent the people better.
